Sailing Regatta - Great Exuma is host to the famous Family Island Regatta, taken very seriously by competitors and people make a day of it to watch the competitors pitch their wits against each other and the sea. Held every year in April.

Sit and Chill on Stocking Island and observe Georgetown from across the water, if you feel energetic there are plenty of walks around the Island. Or just dip your toe in the sea with a beer and a book!

Try a spot of bird watching, the Flamingo is the national bird of the Bahamas, and has been spotted at Coco Plum, herons looking for land crabs are a regular sight, plus many more!

Island watching is a very relaxing hobby for those in the know! Check out that electric blue strip in the sea! It is a colour you will only find in the Exumas.so vivid.

Have you ever thought of being alone on a desert Island? Well you will know what it feels like in Exuma the beaches are not crowded, ever!

The flora and fauna of the islands are beautiful, although not as lush as some of the caribbean it is still very interesting, in particular a trip to the garden centre will amuse most northern visitors who will find their pot plants in a size not sold in most supermarkets!

And then we have the sunrise, get up at about 5am (easy if you have come in from London!) Sit on the balcony and just watch, see the sea come alive when it is high (about 9am) the colour turns to its vivid blue hue.

Have a cup of coffee and read a book, feel the sea breeze and the sun start to warm your skin, there is not place quite like Exuma!
